After Kim Kardashian's traumatic Paris robbery last October—and Kendall Jenner's recent burglary this month—the celebrity family has stepped up its security protocols. In the new issue of Us Weekly, Kris Jenner reveals the extreme measures the clan is taking to make sure everyone is safe. "It's an eye-opener how many people have tried to access our homes," she said. "We're protected to a crazy level."
To start, Kardashian stopped working with her bodyguard of four years, Pascal Duvier, who was out guarding her sister Kourtney and Kendall the night she was robbed in Paris. Sources told Entertainment Tonight the move was part of reality star and her husband Kanye West's plan to re-strategize their security team. Kendall also fired the security guard who was on duty the night watches were stolen from her home last week.
Kardashian also requested that her personal staff undergo lie detector tests to ensure they weren't part of the heist. "Kim's staff had to take polygraphs to see if anyone was involved in her robbery," sources told the weekly. "Everyone passed."
Meanwhile, her new security team (a force of both uniformed and non-uniformed guards) are consistently assessing for any possible threats, Us reports. Guests entering the Kardashian-West house in Bel Air have to be "patted down by security." An insider added, "It's intense."
The social media star is also no longer driving herself around. Instead, she is driven in different cars to throw off anyone who might be following her.
